Cryogenics comes from the Greek words for "cold" and "born of." Components are treated at temperatures below −190°C in phased steps and then brought back to room temperature — a permanent, one-time process.
At this temperature, retained austenite converts almost completely (up to 99.7%) into tough martensite, carbide molecules disperse evenly, and fine carbide particles form between the larger existing ones — relieving stress and refining the material at a molecular level.

- No change in hardness; dimensional shift of just 5–10 microns

Cryogenic Deflashing
Flash on a molded part has a much thinner cross-section than the part itself, so it freezes and turns brittle far faster. Our cryogenic tumbling action — combined with the impact of the media — knocks the flash off without damaging the part underneath.
Parts with thin or deeply recessed flash, the kind no other method can reach, are cleaned to near 100% with no dust or residue left behind. As parts return to ambient temperature, their original physical properties return too — unaffected by the process.

Up to 100% Flash Removal
Ice Plug / Pipe Freeze
CryoNet's PipeFreeze service is a non-intrusive, cost-effective way to carry out pipeline maintenance without draining the system. Liquid nitrogen freezes the product inside the pipe to form a solid plug, isolating the work area with little to no drain-down.
Once an established freeze plug forms, repairs or modifications are carried out safely. When the work is done, the plug is thawed and the line returns to normal operation — with no system downtime.
